Add features to Nautilus

30 / 03 / 2008 · 1 comment ·

There are many extensions to enhance nautilus but, strangely, are not installed by default. If you want to fix it, on ubuntu, you can add them all with the command sudo apt-get install * Extended *
Let's see ':
  • files to run as administrator without using the terminal simply install nautilus-gksu
  • to open the terminal window already with the address of the folder where we are located just install nautilus-open-terminal
  • to resize images without using GIMP or other programs just install nautilus-image-converter

Other useful functions are integrated through scripts. For them to head to this site, download the package and extract the files .gnome2/nautilus-scripts, a hidden folder in your home.
