Broadcom in Ubuntu 8.04

As long ago I spoke of the cards with Ubuntu Gutsy Broadcom now that I've upgraded the laptop I was pleasantly surprised how has not had to fiddle around for the wireless card.

I just connect the laptop to the router with the cable network, go to System / Administration / Hardware Drivers and install the drivers for the wireless card. Done what I disconnected the network cable, did the research from nm-applet of new networks, I found mine, I checked, the password is entered and started to run everything fine. Have never been so happy since I thought I would lose a few hours (as had happened to me with Gutsy). Merit is the new kernel and new drivers opensource b43 and b43legacy.
