Deluge is a torrent client platform, which is what I use mostly now on ubuntu because it is very light compared to others, has good features ampliavili through the plugin and I have never given any major problems.

For installation on both Mac and Linux win that could not be simpler, just visit the site and click on download now.

For those who use ubuntu you can install / update the program from repositories.
To do this you just add the line
# deluge
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/zachtib/ubuntu gutsy main universe
to your sources.list, after which date with sudo apt-get update and then install the program with sudo apt-get install deluge-torrent
The program once installed will be in Applications / Internet
