As you know you can extend the functionality of wordpress with plugins. We start with the shopping list:
- Akismet: Known Spam plugin to protect us in the comments
- all in one ADSENSE and YPN: automatically insert AdSense ads or Yahoo (but I think this will change)
- All in One SEO Pack: plugin for indexing the best blog search engine
- del.icio.us: plugin to add widgets in the list of sites saved on del.icio.us
- EasyTube: plugin to include YouTube video pages
- feedburner: for those who use the feedburner plugin to redirect to the feedburner feed instead of http://tuosito.it/feed
- Global Translator: allows you to view the blog in other languages by simply adding the link at the bottom of the blog / en for English etc. ... (test)
- Lightview: Allows you to insert thumbnail images into various articles, and when you click on the image you'll see in actual size.
- One Click plugin updater: automatically updates all plug
- Optimize DB: very handy if you do not want to put hand to phpmyadmin
- Sociable: Inserts Article links at the bottom to place the article in your Social Bookmarks (such as del.icio.us, Facebook, digg.com, etc. ..)
- WP-OpenID: Allows you to log in to blogs, comment, be recognized with your OpenID
