Let's go with order:
I'm using firefox3 on ubuntu constantly updated by this repo:
http://ppa.launchpad.net/fta/ubuntu hardy main deb
(you can add them if you like bad they never did).
Today another update that took me to version 3.0.1
Everything ok, except TabMix Plus, one of my favorite extensions no longer wanted.
What have I done? I went to the project site, download the latest build and edit the file install.rdf as adding up the version 3.0 .* (as was done recently with Fasterfox, I said, "we feel that there evil?")
Now it's all and I have not noticed problems. If you are interested here is the link with the modified file ready to be installed.

Thank you, thank you very much, good job.
Thanks for the file attached, this method also works with the extension AutoCopy that I use very often. You open the file install.rdf change it as you did, or writing that uses the version of firefox and save it again.
