As you can imagine from the title, today I'm going to talk about a new program for IM, MSN clone, and not only does the new version (now in development) will support Jabber, GTalk and IRC (for screenshot)

I tried it lately because emesene is giving me problems and now I am fully satisfied (oh no, I do not really like aMSN), hoping that the development continues and the project remains fully active. The only flaw is that for now there is a translation into Italian.

For ubuntu installation is very simple.

We're going to edit the file / etc / apt / sources.list file with a text editor and add the following lines:

# galaxium Ubuntu 8.04
http://ppa.launchpad.net/galaxium/ubuntu hardy main deb
http://ppa.launchpad.net/galaxium/ubuntu hardy main deb-src

or

# galaxium Ubuntu 8.10

We update the system with
sudo apt-get update
and then install the program with
sudo apt-get install galaxium

Who would install the version in the developing world, after performing the same procedure to install the package galaxium-svn

For Fedora, openSUSE and Arch on the project site are the repo, otherwise here's the source code to compile.
