The title seems explanatory : D

Surfing the net I found enough requests for help on how to "burn" the image. Img to install Ubuntu Netbook Remix on netbooks. Browse by opening a terminal and do a command quite risky to use if you have no idea how they manage the partitions or it has been since Ubuntu aims at simplicity, a simple user who does not want to pull crazy.

The command is:

sudo dd if = ~ / Scrivania/ubuntu-9.04-netbook-remix-i386.img of = / dev / sdc bs = 1024
(replace the bold image and if the mount point are different)

Here, it may be bullshit, or simple as you like, but before they do damage, I recommend installing ImageWriter (in the linked page there are. Deb for Hardy and Intrepid and also the exe for Windows, the package is located in Jaunty the repository), a convenient and simple graphical interface to "burn" the file. img just downloaded on the USB key to be used later to install on your netbook UNR!

Once installed the program ImageWriter can be found in Applications -> Accessories. The use is really stupid test: Select the image, select the key from the drop-down menu and then click Write to Device, and wait to finish the job
